Our Recipients

They've been honorable service members with missing arms and legs. They've been sweet little girls with SMS who just need a way to get to the doctor. They've come from everywhere from Maine to California, with the bravery to not accept their circumstance and to stand up for their own happiness. And we've been there, trying our best to make their lives just a little better though harnessing your unwavering kindness.

Chive Charities has helped, and will continue to help, hundreds of needy and under-served people throughout the country. We find our own happiness in the happiness of others. We will fight alongside those fighting for themselves. We will change lives, together. We will champion the underdog.

  • Financial Information

It used to be called the income statement, and many nonprofit organizations produce a variety of versions of this report calling it various names such as budget report, profit & loss, income and expense, etc. No matter what it’s called, the statement of financial activities (SOA) shows the nonprofit organization’s income and expenses for a specific period of time. The report reflects the changes to an organization’s net assets resulting from income and expenses that occur during the current fiscal year. For more information see here.

The budget is used to show how the organization maintains control over their finances, and to show funders exactly how their money is being used. For more information see here.

Total Revenue: The amount of money that a company actually receives during a specific period, including discounts and deductions for returned merchandise. It is the "top line" or "gross income" figure from which costs are subtracted to determine net income.
